Project Overview:
Zuri Penthouse presented a different kind of challenge—how to design a space with strong architectural presence without competing with it. The penthouse offered expansive views and generous proportions, but risked feeling cold and impersonal without the right level of intervention. The goal was to introduce warmth, character, and refinement while preserving the openness that defined the space.
The approach centered on restraint and precision. Instead of adding complexity, the design focused on enhancing what already existed. Material selection became critical—layering textures through stone, wood, and textiles to create depth while maintaining a cohesive visual language. Each zone within the open-plan layout was subtly defined through furniture placement, lighting, and spatial alignment.
Transitions between spaces were treated with care, ensuring a continuous flow without abrupt interruptions. Custom elements were introduced to reinforce identity, while keeping the overall composition clean and balanced. Lighting was carefully calibrated to shift the atmosphere from day to night, allowing the space to adapt naturally.
The result is a penthouse that feels both expansive and intimate. It holds presence without excess, delivering a refined living experience that is calm, controlled, and deeply intentional.
